SPEAKER: Barb Bancroft

Barb Bancroft, RN, MSN, PNP, has provided more than 2500 continuing education seminars on topics pertaining to pathophysiology, physical assessment, nutrition, and pharmacology to health care professionals throughout the United States and Canada.

She has been the keynote speaker for numerous national organizations: The Association of Neuroscience Nurses, The Oncology Nursing Society, Association of Practitioners for Infection Control, the National Association of Biology Teachers, the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses, the Emergency Nurses’ Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Medical-Surgical Nurses Association, The Ambulatory Nurses’ Association, The International Association of Dialysis Nurses, the Pacific Dental Coast Conference, the Chicago Dental Association, State Farm Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Million Dollar Round Table.

Barb has held faculty positions at the University of Virginia, the University of Arkansas,

Loyola University of Chicago, and St. Xavier University of Chicago.  She has provided courses on Advanced Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Physical Assessment to graduate and undergraduate students. 

Barb Bancroft is the author of four books: Medical Minutiae, An Apple a Day: The ABCs of Diet and Disease, Live a Little, Laugh a Lot (2004), and—KISS MY ASPARAGUS. She is also the author of two booklets—Geriatric Gems and Clinical Focus on Pharmacology. She also writes a monthly e-BLURB.

Barb has won numerous awards for excellence in teaching including the Distinguished Professor award from the National Association of Biology Teachers and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Centennial Award from the University of Virginia.
